בשבת האחרונה נכחתי בדיון מרתק שנערך במרכז הקהילתי היהודי JCC בסן דיאגו.

בדיון התארח  Robert Spencer מומחה לאיסלם (כמדומני ממוצא תורכי) שחיבר 9 ספרים על האיום שמהווה האיסלם לעולם החופשי. בשורה התחתונה טוען Spencer שאיסלם, בשונה מכל דת אחרת, הוא בעצם תנועה פוליטית שמטרתה לכפות את האיסלם על כל העולם או לשעבד את כל מי שלא יקבל עליו את האיסלם ולהפכו לאדם מדרגה נחותה. את המטרה הזו משיגים בשתי דרכים. האחת טרור והשניה מתוחכמת בהרבה, לפיה בשם חופש הדת והפולחן כופים על הדמוקרטיות המערביות, בעיקר באירופה אך גם בארה"ב, שינוי תקנות ונוהגים כך שיתאימו למנהגים מוסלמיים.

בראיון של החוקר רוברט ספנסר על האסלאם, הוא מצייר את המציאות של האסלאם באירופה ומזהיר כי מלחמת אזרחים צפויה בעתיד,אלא אם כן נפעל מעכשיו.
ספנסר מציין זאת גם בספרים כמו "בעוד אירופה ישנה" או את ספרו מארק שטיין "אירוערביה" שם הוא מציין שאירופה גמורה ! גם בארה"ב שיעורי הילודה מנוגדים בין מהגרים מוסלמים אירופאים חילוניים יוביל לאסון.

"תקופת הפאשיזם נמשכה 25 שנה, הקומוניזם נמשך 75 שנה, האסלאם הוא בן 1,400 שנים, הציווי לעשות מלחמה נגד כופרים הוא 1,400 שנים והם מאמינים שהם נלחמים 1,400 שנה את המאבק הישן. ג'יהאד יהרוס אותנו אם לא נעשה שום דבר בקשר לזה. "

"Fascism lasted 25 years, Communism for 75; Islam is 1,400 years old, the imperative to make war against unbelievers is 1,400 years old and they believe they are fighting a 1,400-year-old struggle. And jihad will destroy us if we don't do anything about it."

An interview here with Robert Spencer America's leading Catholic scholar of Islam that first appeared in the Catholic Herald.
He paints a fascinating yet disturbing insight into the reality of Islam and warns that Europe faces eventual civil war unless we act now.
Spencer subscribes to the growing view -- expressed in books such as While Europe Slept, Eurabia and Mark Steyn's America Alone -- that the contrasting birth rates between Muslim immigrants and secular Europeans will lead to catastrophe.

He also points out that his greatest critics come from that element of the Left supportive of Islam against "the West", a marriage seen by renegade liberals and socialists as the most ill-conceived alliance since a distinctly non-Aryan Japan sided with Nazi Germany.
To Spencer it makes perfect sense. "There is a deep ideological affinity between the Left and the jihadists. Whenever the hard Left gained power they instituted a reign of terror in order to create what they envisage as a just society, brought about by force. Islamic law works in much the same way: utopia created by force."
